Jess Pope wins the first two bareback riding rounds in Pool B

Jess Pope bettered his 89.5 points from Day 1 of Pool B action by riding for 90 points on Day 2 at the Calgary Stampede.

Pope has already won $11,000 at the Stampede as he looks to finish in the Top 4 to advance to Championship Sunday in the bareback riding.

“It was awesome, I was excited to have that horse (Snap Chat).....It’s a super good one,” he said. “It’s just all gas and no brakes and it was a lot of fun.”

Pope is currently $2,000 ahead of Orin Larsen in the pool. Larsen has finished second both days.
