Shad Mayfield tied for the lead in Pool B after winning Round 3 with a 6.8-second run

After a no time in Round 1 of Pool B, 2020 World Champion Shad Mayfield has responded with a run of 7.2 seconds in Round 2 and 6.8 in Round 3.

The 6.8-second time on Thursday afternoon was good enough first place, earning him $5,500 and bringing his Calgary Stampede total to $10,000.

“Everything felt great, I gotta give all credit to my horse, Rampage, he’s been so great right here,” Mayfield said.

With one round left, Mayfield shares the lead in Pool B with Erik Dublanko, however, Justin Smith, Ryan Jarrett and Cody Craig are all within $3,000 of the top spot.
