Top saddle bronc rides by Canadians in 2021

There’s a Canadian invasion in PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding. Not only are five of the 15 Wrangler NFR qualifiers from North of the Border, but Canadian saddle bronc riders made the two highest marked rides of the 2021 season.

Dawson Hay had the top score of the season and tied the ProRodeo record with 95 points at the Hardgrass Bronc Match. Not only is Hay a Canadian saddle bronc rider, but he did at a Canadian rodeo on Calgary Stampede’s Wild Cherry, a Canadian horse. The previous World Record was held

Not to be outdone, Kolby Wanchuk tied the arena record at The Calgary Stampede on Urgent Delivery with 94.5 points.

Other notable rides by Canadians include Layton Green’s 91 in Salinas, Ben Andersen’s 90.5 at the Farm-City ProRodeo and Zeke Thuston’s 90.5 at the Xtreme Broncs Finals.
