CHEYENNE FRONTIER DAYS SEMIFINALS ONE
There is no better way than to kick off the 2021 Best Moments than with the Daddy of ‘em All and our very own Ty McClary did just that. Bareback riding is the most physically intense event in rodeo and both rounds of the Semifinals and the Final Round in Cheyenne this year were full of the best of the best bareback riders.
In the first semifinal, Resistol Rookie of the Year, Cole Franks, started it all and set the bar with an 82.5 point ride to come in third and secure his spot in the Short Go. It was Tilden Hooper and Tim O’Connell that tied at the top of the leaderboard with 86 points. These two battled all summer long, going back and forth, for No. 1 in the world.
CHEYENNE FRONTIER DAYS SEMIFINALS TWO
In the second semifinal, Jess Pope and Tanner Aus would tie with 84 points to take the No. 1 spot and go on to the Short Go. RC Landingham and Ty Brewer got on the leaderboard as well and the Short Go in the bareback riding at the Daddy of ‘em All was set to be nothing less than amazing.
CHEYENNE FRONTIER DAYS SHORT GO
The day of the Short Go, once again it boiled down to O’Connell and Hooper. O’Connell came out with the win after an 89 point ride on Irish Eyes of Sankey Pro Rodeo and Phenom Genetics. Hooper was second with an 86.5 point ride.
