The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is anticipating possibly the best collection of stock the event has ever had.
According to Arena Director Casey Harp, they took extra time to ask the athletes what horses and stock contractors they wanted to see at Dickies Arena. This was done through in-person conversations and surveys.
“We brought in some of the top ones that (the competitors) wanted us to try to get in there,” Harp said.
In addition to the contractors like the The Calgary Stampede and Andrews Rodeo, which are mainstays at the FWSSR, the rodeo will also feature the debut of Sankey Pro Rodeo, Bridwell Pro Rodeos and Championship Rodeo.
There will be a total of 95 horses with NFR appearances and 30 bulls. The bracket style portion of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo begins on Jan. 20. The festivities kick off on Jan. 14 with a Ranch Rodeo at 8:30 PM ET on The Cowboy Channel and The Cowboy Channel+ App.
