Tim O’Connell Continues to Have Success on Shady Nights, Wins San Antonio Semifinal

In the second of two bareback riding Semifinals, Tim O’Connell was 88.5 points on Pickett Pro Rodeo’s Shady Nights, a horse O’Connell says he has been on about eight times in the last four years.

“That’s an amazing animal of Cullen Pickett’s, he just has a whole herd of great bucking horses,” O’Connell said. “She’s an amazing horse.....I’d love to get on her every day if I could.”

O’Connell was No. 9 in the PRCA World Standings entering Friday night’s Semifinal and will likely rise in the PRCA World Standings after banking $5,000. Joining him in the Finals from the second Semifinal are Richmond Champion, Kaycee Feild, Mason Clements and Shane O’Connell.
