The man of the hour, Bass Pro Shops CEO and Founder Johnny Morris, joined The Cowboy Channel Tailgate Party on the final day of Bass Pro’s Anniversary World Fishing Fair Sunday.
“I’m proud of our people, it’s big undertaking, you never know when there is going to glitches or things go haywire,” Morris said. “I’ve seen so many kids, that’s what makes me the happiest of this whole event.”
Morris said his entire life has been a blessing and much of that is thanks to the memories that have come from hunting, fishing and being outside. Now, he gets to see others make those memories in real time.
Now, Morris’ mission is making sure there remain places to make outdoor memories, which is why conservation is a big foundation of everything he and Bass Pro Shops do. He calls it an obligation.
“Many of are folks have a deep passion about these sports,” he said. “I just say thanks to every fisherman and fishing family that’s here, sportsmen and women are the back bone of funding conservation in North America.”
