Stetson Wright Gives Some Names to Watch for His Upcoming Bull Riding

On Western Sports Round-Up Tuesday night, Stetson Wright gave some of the names he’s most excited to see compete at his invitational bull riding on May 14.

The event is a mix of NFR veterans and up-and-coming bull riders Wright believes have the talent to compete with some of the PRCA’s best.

Wright mentioned five-time NFR qualifier Roscoe Jarboe, two-time qualifier Ky Hamilton, three-time NFR qualifier Garrett Smith and four-time NFR qualifier Jordan Spears as some marquee names. Jarboe, Hamilton and Smith are all currently in the Top 15 in the PRCA World Standings.

“They’re all on a heater right now, so I’m excited for them to come,” Wright said.

As for the younger guys, Wright said he wanted to give an opportunity the Top 5 kids in the high school standings in Utah. That list includes Kade Madsen, Cooper James, Cooper Jacobs, Trace Redd and Pokey Houghton.

“They’re all outstanding riders,” Wright said. “That’s kind of why I started this Stetson Wright Invitational, to bring one of the biggest bull ridings to Utah and give these guys something to try to ride better for.”
