Kassie Mowry is the new arena record holder in the barrel racing at The Calgary Stampede after stopping the clock at 16.86 seconds in Round 4 of Pool B.
Afterward, she gave all of the credit to her horse Famous Ladies Man.
“This just blows my mind, he excited my expectations way before this round and I’m just so proud of him, this is such an amazing accomplishment for him,” Mowry said.
The previous record was 16.99 by Hailey Kinsel in 2019.
Mowry finished second in the pool and made $14,500 to advance to Championship Sunday.
