Sage Kimzey provided an update after successful surgery on Thursday.
Kimzey posted to his Instagram account the following:
Steeles been waiting on me hand and foot (meaning his mom has). Today, Dr. Elhassan performed my surgery and did a great job fixing the complexity of my injury. I had a totally torn and atrophied subscapularis, displaced bicep tendon, broken collar bone, several tears in my labrum, so he grafted bone to stabilize it …It goes on and on. I’m very fortunate to have rode with this since high school and I look forward to being back 100%. Thank you for all your well wishes and I’m grateful to serve a powerful God who ensured my safety all these years.
In June Kimzey announced he would be out for the remainder of the season due to the shoulder injury.
