Kincade Henry came into RodeoHouston guns blazing. He captured the first two Go-Round wins to rack up $6,000 and be the No. 1 tie-down roper advancing.
“Oh, no doubt. It’s been awesome. I drawn two good calves, I’ve made two good runs. Yeah, it’s hard to complain to start off like that,” Henry said.
When it comes to Houston, Henry’s game plan is all about the start. He has the horsepower and the footwork, it all came down to the barrier for the National Finals qualifier.
“The main thing that I’ve been focusing on this winter and this spring in the practice pen is just getting consistent with my runs... it’s paying off here,” he said.
Henry shaved almost a full second off his Round 1 time to win Round 2 and the two go-round wins combined were enough for him to advance despite the bad luck in Round 3.
