Tiany Schuster’s third National Finals Rodeo qualification came after 12 wins and even more trips to the pay window put her No. 7 in the WPRA World Standings.
Schuster will return to the Thomas & Mack with her main man, Show Mance, and they are looking at the possibility of a Gold Buckle.
Bell County PRCA Rodeo, $2,087
Early on in the season, Schuster tasted success when she picked up a win in her home state. By one tenth of a second with a time of 14.76, she beat NFR first timer Abby Phillips for the win in Belton in.
Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo, $2,051
Another spring win came Schuster’s way again in Texas when she went a little further south. Once again, by just one tenth of a second, she made a winning trip to the pay window.
Rocky Rodeo, $1,899
A trip across the border landed Schuster in Canada where she would be the only one to clock a sub-16-second time in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. The almost $2,000 payday would be one of two Canadian wins for the Texas lady.
Airdrie Pro Rodeo, $2,326
The second Canadian win would come with Schuster being the only one to clock a sub-15-second time. Her blazing quick 14.99 was just one hundredth of a second fast enough to get the win.
California Rodeo Salinas, $17,798
Schuster and Show Mance came one round win away from sweeping California Rodeo Salinas. Schuster left no doubt by finishing first or second in every single round with four timees between 15.94 and 16.12 seconds, including finishing the rodeo with three straight sub-16 second runs, which were the three fastest runs of the rodeo by any barrel racer.
Golden Spike Rodeo, $6,819
In Utah, Schuster would sneak past Keyla Costa to get the win just by five hundredths of a second. This would only add to the momentum that helped her place at the top of the leaderboard at her final two rodeos of the season.
Before she did that, Schuster made sure to cash in at the Fallon County Fair and Rodeo the week before. Her 15.82-second run would beat the likes of Summer Kosel, Jamie Olsen and Fallon Taylor.
Lewiston Roundup, $3,870
The first of two rodeos that Schuster entered in the final month of the regular season would be the first of two wins in September. A rodeo against the best in the business once again had Schuster on top with a time of 17.06 seconds.
North Dakota Roughrider Cup, $12,701
Schuster’s final rodeo of the season paid off in a big way. In Mandan, it was a battle between Schuster and Kosel yet again. By only three hundredths of a second, the win was Schuster’s and it put the exclamation point on a tremendous season.
