The Bareback Riding Between 2023 and 2024 Brings Only a Few Differences in the World Standings

Take a look at the differences between your No. 1 cowboy and No. 15 compared to last season.

Every year, cowboys are gunning for a rank that is inside the Top 15 in the PRCA World Standings come September 30. A few of the repeats this year are not far off from where they entered the National Finals Rodeo in 2023.

In 2023 Keenan Hayes set a World Record when he picked up a Gold Buckle his Rookie Year. He went into Las Vegas at the No. 1 ranked cowboy with $265,896 in earnings while Richmond Champion came in at No. 15 with $111,688.

This year, the margin has narrowed as Rocker Steiner is coming into Las Vegas No. 1 with $233,318 while Champion is once again, No. 15 with $128,694.

The margins between No. 1 and No. 15 are smaller this season, but it took around $17,000 more to be in that Top 15 at all.

Hayes is No. 2 for the 2024 and after another phenomenal year in the Resistol Rookie Race, it will come down to ten days in Las Vegas for a World Champion.
