The Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo is in Fort Worth

Right outside the legendary Cowtown Coliseum is a bronze statue of the first bulldogger, Bill Pickett. Coming up this weekend, is the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo.

There will be three performances on Friday and Saturday and on top of the rodeo performances, they are bringing the Greatest Show on Dirt, a traveling museum as well. This museum will travel the country to tell the stories of black cowboys and cowgirls from all around the US that have toured with the World’s leading all black touring rodeo.

The Bill Pickett Invitational will take place on May 13-14 while the museum will be at the Cowtown Coliseum from May 13-16 in Fort Worth.
