The Bob Feist Invitational Is Back

The Bob Feist Invitational is heading back to the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma. It will kick off with the Hooey Junior BFI on March 31 and it will wrap up with All Girls Roping on April 5.

This will be the 11th year for the BFI and they have grown every year adding new events. This year’s new events are the #15 Roping and the Open Legends Roping. The Legends Roping gives past BFI Champions a chance to rope with their peers.

“We’re giving these guys a chance where they don’t have to rope against the young kids and that’s what they’re most excited about,” said Daren Peterson, co-owner of the BFI.

Even though BFI Week is being held in Oklahoma, the BFI will also return to its original home of Reno, Nevada during the Reno Rodeo. The Resistol Open Roping with be first and they will wrap up the week on Thursday.

“We have some great sponsorships there, some great friendships that’re personal to us with the Silver Legacy Hotel. They’ve been a great, great partner for us and we look forward to going back at least one more year,” Corky Ullman, co-owner of the BFI, said.
