The Heritage Place Futurity & Derby is Coming Up

Heritage Place Sales General Manager Spence Kidney and Heritage Place have the Heritage Place Futurity and Derby coming up, a race that they have been a part since the beginning in 1978.

“We have a long history with this race obviously starting it when Heritage Place was a new sale company… the idea of sponsoring a race like this futurity was born to promote the sale company and consignments and offspring,” Kidney said.

The race has evolved and grew into something so big that in 2007, the Heritage Place Futurity became open to the world. The vision was to develop a million dollar race in Oklahoma and they did just that.

The futurity trials take place May 5-6 and the derby trials will be held on May 7. However, for the first time ever, the Oaks trials will take place on May 8.

It is a big year for Heritage place and the next month will be packed with horse racing at Remington Park.
