Three PRCA Regular Season Earnings Records Fall on Final Weekend of 2024 Season

Shad Mayfield, Dalton Massey and Damian Brennan etched their names in the history books

There were three PRCA regular season earnings records that fell thanks to performances at the Governor’s Cup over the weekend.

Shad Mayfield won the rodeo with a 6.9-second run and finished the season with $287,722, which is $7,702 than Riley Webb had last year. Mayfield set the record in 2022 before Webb broke it in 2023.

In steer wrestling, Dalton Massey broke his own record set a season ago by $9,582 with $203,013. Massey won just over $26,000 at the Governor’s Cup.

Damian Brennan set a new benchmark with the largest margin of victory over the previous record, finishing with $280,019—surpassing Sage Newman’s 2023 record by $26,829. Brennan capped off his season in style, earning more than $40,000 at the Governor’s Cup.
