Tie-Down Roper Tuf Cooper Has Emotional San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Win

Four-time World Champion tie-down roper Tuf Cooper wins the second leg of the Texas Swing.

Tuf Cooper made sure to claim his spot in the Semi-Finals of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo early on when he took two of the Bracket 1 go-rounds while finishing second in the third. When the Finals rolled around, Cooper claimed the win by just one tenth of a second with a guardian angel by his side.

“All glory and honor to God. My grandma went to Heaven at 2:30 this morning and they sent me down here to get this buckle. This one’s for you grandma, I love you Mimi. I’ve got something right here, legends never die and her legacy will live on through us, through my whole family and hopefully I can honor her by being the best man I can be everyday,” Cooper said.

Cooper’s San Antonio earnings have him now sitting just inside the Top 10 in the PRCA World Standings.
