Tie-Down Roper Chance Oftedahl Sweeps Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Bracket 2

Bracket 2 in Fort Worth belongs to Chance Oftedahl.

Chance Oftedahl stopped the clock at 9.7 on Sunday before he bested that time by over a second and a half on Monday to sweep Bracket 2 and land himself in the Semi-Finals of the first leg of the Texas Swing.

“It’s been working great. Draw good and rope good,” Oftedahl said.

The format of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo lends itself to a one header for each performance while still being a tournament style. Oftedahl made sure to capitalize on that with the outcome being the best.

Joining Oftedahl in the Semi-Finals from Bracket 2 is veteran tie-down roper and World Champion Shane Hanchey while Hunter Herrin will return for the Wildcard Round.
