Cole Clemons FWSSR 2024

Cole Clemons took on his Resistol Rookie Year like a champion. The Florida All-Around hand found the pay window at all the right places and locked in his National Finals Rodeo qualification as the No. 14 ranked tie-down roper in the World.

Clemons has already claimed the Resistol Rookie of the Year title in the tie-down roping and he wound up second in the All-Around to cap off the 2024 regular season on a high.

Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo, $3,524

The second rodeo of the season, Clemons picked up his first win after a blazing 7.8-second run, a time that was four tenths of a second faster than anybody else. This was the first check of many to come his way and it gave him a boost of momentum when he took on the Permit Finals.

Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo, $2,106

A successful weekend just before the unofficial kickoff of the Summer Run started at Sisters Rodeo and ended at the Crooked River Roundup but in between was the Dinosaur Roundup. There, Clemon’s 9.3-second run put him in the money at No. 7 behind a slew of veteran and World Champion tie-down ropers.

Earlier in the week at Sisters Rodeo, Clemons picked up the All-Around title after placing in both the team roping and the tie-down roping.

Reno Rodeo, $11,439

Clemons pulled into Reno Rodeo where consistency would be key for the 20-year-old. An 8.2 in Round 1 and an 8.9 in the Finals put him No. 2 in the Average, only getting beat by World Champion Shad Mayfield.

This pay day would be the highest of Clemons regular season and it would propel him into more success.

Oakley Independence Day Rodeo, $5,438

Over Cowboy Christmas, Clemons found himself second in Utah, once again sitting in the middle of the money with multi-time NFR qualifier, Ty Harris, and World Champions, Tuf Cooper, on either side of him. Clemons time of 7.7 would be in a league of its own as Harris was 7.4 and Cooper was 8.2.

Snake River Stampede, $9,729

Down the road in Idaho, Clemons was the picture of consistency for two of three runs. A tie for fourth in Round 1 would be the worst he did at the Snake River Stampede. He followed it up by winning the Final Round and the Average by seven tenths of a second.

That same weekend, Clemons found success at the Silver State Stampede back in Nevada. His 9.6-second run was enough for fourth and it was safe to say that Clemons thrived in Nevada.

Farm-City Pro Rodeo, $6,892

Clemons and Joel Harris battled hard for the title in Hermiston and although Harris came out on top, Clemons cashed in a hefty payday before moving on to the next one.

The two split the Round 2 win with a pair of 7.8-second runs and Clemons would finish third in the Average.

Moses Lake Round-Up Rodeo, $5,252

Keeping his success flowing in the northwest, Clemon’s next win would come at the Moses Lake Round-Up when his 7.5-second run was faster than World Champion Shane Hanchey by one full second.

Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo, $2,134

Clemons brought his season to an end on a strong note when he picked up the win in Stephenville, Texas. Although it was a three-way tie it was just the right amount to keep Clemons locked in inside the Top 15 and headed to Las Vegas.
