Tie-Down Roper Riley Webb Carries Gold Buckle Momentum into Petco Park to Win Again

Riley Webb picks up his first win since ringing in the new year in San Diego.

Riley Webb was a force in Las Vegas to earn his first World Title in December and that momentum was carried into Petco Park in January. At Webb’s first rodeo since the National Finals Rodeo, he doubled down to get the win against rodeo’s toughest.

“Well, when the day started, you know, try to get to the Four-Man and then it worked out and then being first out, go as fast as I can, and rope against the best guys in the world and it worked out today,” Webb said.

With Tuf Cooper, John Douch and Shad Mayfield making up the three other slots in the Four-Man, horsepower played a huge part for each of the m however, Webb’s Boots backed into the box with a gameface on too.

“That was boots. I’ve had him for two years now and he’s been awesome. I’ve been riding Rudy the last year or so but got him cracked out for ’25 and it worked out here,” he said.

With the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo and the Fort Worth Stock Show Rodeo coming up next for Webb, the San Diego win that came to the time of 6.7 seconds is just more fuel in the tank for the reigning World Champion.
