Tim O’Connell is the No. 2 bareback rider in the world right now, he has had a great winter setting him up for an amazing summer run.

O’Connell finished second at RFD-TV’s The American and he won the Rockin’ S Riggin Rally on Frontier’s Gun Fire with a 94 point ride to tie the world record. He’s got a positive outlook on the year as he continues chasing that No. 1 spot. He’s looking forward to Calgary particularly and he’s got a list of horses that he’d love to get on.

Tim O’Connell isn’t far from the No. 1 spot. He has made about $67,000 this season and trails World No. 1 and 2021 American Rodeo Champion Tilden Hooper by about $11,000. Richmond Champion is No. 3 with just over $40,000.
