TJ Gray Wins Semifinal 1 at National Western as Only Bull Rider to Make 8

The Oregon native is making his first appearance in the Finals of the National Western

TJ Gray had no competition for the top spot in Semifinal 1 of the National Western as he was the only one to receive a score, a hard-earned 86.5 points on Legacy Pro Rodeo’s Grey Eagle to win the round.

“Up until this year, I’ve never done good here in Denver,” he said. “God blessed me this year, and it’s been great.”

Dating back to 2022, it was just the second time the multi-time NFR bull had been ridden in the last 17 outs and first time in the 2024 season.

“He has a handful, I had to try hard,” Gray said. “I thought he was a solid bull and I was glad to have him.....This is a great place to start off the year.”

T Parker, Scott Wells and Coy Pollmeier all advanced to the Finals based on their two-head Qualifying Round scores.
