Tristen Hutchings was the final champion crowned in Globe Life Field at the American Rodeo. The Idaho native kicked it off with an 83.75 in the Ten Man Round to advance to the Four Man where it all counts.
“Before the NFR I wasn’t riding so good and I got a little bit better basics and I’ve been practicing really hard for about five, six months and it’s sure been helping me,” Hutchings said.
Hutchings was only one of two cowboys to make the whistle in the Ten Man Round to advance and it would be a matchup with Stranger Danger of Frontier Rodeo would be the $120,000 ride for Hutchings.
Before the dust settled, Hutchings made sure to pay tribute to a cowboy and a friend that passed, Dylan Grant, wrapping up the American Rodeo with a reminder of just how precious life is.
