Tucker Allen and Dalton Massey are Co-Champions in Reno After an Intense Short Go

Tucker Allen and Dalton Massey each earned a pair of Silver Spurs in Reno

Two rounds in Reno gave Tucker Allen a lead going into the Short Go on Saturday night, but Dalton Massey proved he is the No. 1 man in the World for a reason. The two split the win after both having a time of 13.9 seconds on three head.

“You can’t back off, if you back off you’re not going to win anywhere. I’d rather go down trying than not win nothing, but it was a great Short Go, the guys bull dogged really good, good steers and I’m happy to split it with Dalton,” Allen said.

Massey came into the Short Go as the No. 8 man but he smoked a run of 4.1 to run the second fastest time of the round behind Tanner Brunner.

“Oh this is one of the best rodeos of the year, great rodeo and I’m just really thankful to be here and do great and share the win with Tucker,” Massey said.

Allen’s success brought him $16,500 and is now the No. 4 ranked bull dogger in the World with his sights set on Las Vegas. As for Massey, he added $10,000 to his season earnings to push his lead in the PRCA World Standings to more than $20,000.
