In the calf roping, the Championship title was split between two of the best. Tuf Cooper and Tyler Milligan both finished with a time of 23.5 seconds on three head. Milligan had the fastest time of the Final Round with a 7.8 and Cooper came in third with a 8.4.

Cooper came back the No. 1 cowboy in the average and it held on.

“Hey, it’s a good Friday, San Angelo is the place to be in the short round. I had a couple of good calves in the first rounds, that calf right there was a little slower so I wanted to make sure that I completed the course,” Cooper said.

Milligan had good runs in slack and came back to the Final Round to dominate.

“I run three good calves and I just tried to make no mistakes and my horse, he really fits me. It’s been good so far,” Milligan said.

Milligan won the first round while Cooper won the second round while Ty Harris was third and Marty Yates finished Fourth in San Angelo.
