Tuf Cooper Wins Rodeo Austin to Double Down on Texas Swing Success

Tie-down roper Tuf Cooper picks up second Texas Swing win.

Tuf Cooper’s Rodeo Austin win might have come by the slim margins of two tenths of a second but the four-time World Champion pulled it off.

“Grandma is still giving me the good favor and the good calves and the good runs. I want to thank Rodeo Austin, everybody on the committee for putting this thing together,” Cooper said.

After a bittersweet win in San Antonio the day his grandma passed, Cooper is keeping his head up and his game face on. It was an 8.5-second run in Austin that secured his second Texas Swing win.

Cooper now sits No. 6 in the PRCA Tie-Down Roping World Standings trailing the No. 5 cowboy, John Douch, by just $700.
