Tyler Bingham gives an update on his NFR injuries

Bull rider Tyler Bingham was bucked off and had a bull step right on his chest in Round Seven of the Wrangler NFR.

Bingham was stretchered to safety after a lying on the dirt for an extended period of time and although he was okay, the list of injuries he suffered was long.

He had nine broken ribs, a broken sternum, a broken clavicle and a concussion. He also bruised both of his lungs and his heart.

Bingham returned to the arena Round Nine and against the best wishes of his wife, he took in the final round of the Wrangler NFR from behind the chutes.

Bingham has not rodeoed since the NFR but he is getting much closer. He is on a heart monitor right now and his cardiologist is confident that if his heart rate stays under control, he will be able to return for the San Antonio Xtreme Bulls.

The San Antonio X Bulls event is scheduled for Feb. 14.
