Tyler Bingham’s last trip to the National Finals Rodeo came in 2020, and after three challenging seasons outside the Top 30 of the World Standings, the 31-year-old has staged a remarkable comeback.

He heads to Las Vegas as the No. 14 qualifier, hoping to recreate his stellar 2019 campaign, when he placed fourth in both the NFR Average and the PRCA World Standings. That was the last time we saw him compete inside the Thomas & Mack.

Cactus Jack Xtreme Bull Riding, $15,211

In May, Bingham got his biggest win of the season in Uvalde, Texas. He kicked off the Cactus Jack with an 88-point ride aboard United Pro Rodeo’s Pit Bull. It was the Go-Round winner by two points before he ended up sixth in Round 2. The Finals would put Bingham on United Pro Rodeo’s Top Gun. His 89.5 would be the second highest score ever made on the bull and he ended up No. 1 in the Average with 261 points on three.

Ed Miller Xtreme Bulls, $5,358

The next month, Bingham made a successful trip to Oregon when he hit the pay window yet again. This one-header ended with Bingham on top of the leaderboard with an 85-point ride on Big Bend Rodeo’s Bangarang to cinch the win by just half a point.

Old Santa Ynez Days Rodeo, $3,265

Legacy Pro Rodeo’s King Hut would be the draw in California. It would be an 81.5 for Bingham and he split the win with Clayton Sellars. It was his first win in California since 2019.

That Famous Preston Night Rodeo, $4,555

In the first weekend of August, another matchup with a Legacy Pro Rodeo bull would bring Bingham his next win. Eight seconds resulted in an 88.5-point ride on Fire And Ice to make Bingham your champion in Idaho by 1.5 points.

The same weekend, he made his highest marked ride of the season on Burnt Oil to take second at the War Bonnet Round Up with 89.5 points.

Gem State Stampede Xtreme Bulls, $3,961

Bingham continued to stack successful rodeos in Idaho when he matched up with Corey and Lange Rodeo’s Cold Turkey. The two went toe-to-toe to put Bingham on top of the Round 1 leaderboard with an 84-point ride.

Amarillo Tri-State Fair and Rodeo, $5,282

Bingham’s final win of the 2024 season that clinched his return to the NFR came in Texas. Chumbawambma of Smith Pro Rodeos would be the bull and 83.5 points would be the score.

In the last two weeks of the season, Bingham banked six checks of more than $1,000.
