Update On Bull Riders in Fatal Car Wreck

Three young bull riders were in a car wreck leaving the Pendleton Roundup on Thursday night.

Jate Frost, Jesse Hopper and Richard Schleicher were traveling in a Volkswagon Jetta when they collided with a semi-truck.

Frost was life flighted to Kadlec Medical Center after sustaining serious injuries while Jesse Hopper was transported to Oregon Health and Science University Hospital for his injuries. He has since been released. Sadly, Richard Schleicher was pronounced dead at the scene.

Schleicher was chasing his dreams this summer, he had a late invite to Reno Rodeo and he took his first plane ride to get there. The rodeo community has rallied together to tell stories about the good impact that Schleicher had on the world.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Frost, Hopper and Schleicher families.
