He is a three-time world champion, 12-time Wrangler National Finals Rodeo qualifier, and he is ranked No. 4 in the world. His name is Jade Corkill.
Corkill has over $2 million in career earnings and this year he kept adding to that number. Before the NFR, he has $110,570 after the regular season. Among his wins this 2021 season, Corkill took home the title from big rodeos. He won the San Antonio Stock Show and Rode, Cheyenne Frontier Days, Black Hills Roundup and more.
CLAY SMITH AND JADE CORKILL 4.6 SAN ANTONIO STOCK SHOW AND RODEO
In the beginning of the season, Corkill roped a 4.6 in Round 1, a 4.3 to win Round 2 and came back in the finals to be a 3.3 and win it all. In total he took home $24,300 and another championship. He followed up SASSR with a 4.8 in Round 1 of the American and he left there with $8,000.
Corkill picked up a check at Old Fort Days (Arkansas) after a 3.7 was good enough to be second. To start his summer run, he was a 4.6 in Round 2 of Reno Rodeo to take home $4,466 and the next big win came from the Black Hills Roundup. It was a 3.7 second run that got Corkill the win.

The northern run was a good one for Corkill. A 4.3 at the Livingston Roundup Rodeo added good money to his earnings and he carried that momentum to North Dakota where a 4.1 was good enough to be second at the Killdeer Mountain Roundup PRCA Rodeo. At the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo, it took a 4.5 second run to win it and cash in $4,420.
CLAY SMITH AND JADE CORKILL, CHEYENNE FRONTIER DAYS FINAL ROUND
The Daddy Of ‘Em All added $11,119 to his season earnings after Corkill and his partner made three consistent runs all under 11 seconds. They went from there to the Days of ’76 Rodeo (South Dakota) where they were a 4.4 and then went on to Dodge City where they were 5.1 and 6.9 seconds.
During the final month of the season, Corkill would add $13,925 to his regular season earning to secure his 12th Wrangler NFR. This will be Corkill’s third NFR with Clay Smith as his header the duo is known to bring the heat to the Thomas and Mack.
