Rookie Bareback Rider Wacey Schalla Takes Bracket 4 at National Western

The rookie made it to the National Western through a qualifier and has not looked back

It has been quite the start to Wacey Schalla’s professional career. The Rookie advanced to the National Western via a qualifier and now is heading to the Semifinals after two impressive rides in Bracket 4.

Schalla was marked 85 points in the Second Round of his bracket. He knew he had a good opportunity when he saw his draw, was Cervi Brothers’ King Dingaling.

“That was the horse I was looking forward to getting on when I came here. When it all came together it was good.”

Schalla dominated the bracket overall, winning both rounds and being 168 on two, a full six points better than second place.

“I don’t know I’m just lucky I guess,” Schalla said with a smile on his face after his second straight win.

Bradlee Miller placed second in the bracket and heads to the Semifinals after rides of 83 points and 79 points.

The third and final qualifier out of Bracket 4 in Bareback Riding was Colt Eck who was marked 158 on two to place third.
