Weekly Recap: Best in Team Roping

Levi Simpson and Shay Carroll won the Fallon County Fair & Rodeo in Baker, Montana, with a time of 4.4 seconds, earning them the title of Smarty Run of the Week, and making Levi one of the biggest movers in the Standings, helping him jump from No. 15 to No. 10, while partner Shay moved from No. 9 to No. 7.

Also looking strong this last week were partners Brenten Hall and Chase Tryan, who both moved from No. 18 to No. 14, winning the rodeo in Jerome and taking second in Circle, Montana.

Unlucky this week was Chad Masters, who moved from No. 10 to No. 15, roping with reigning World Champion Wesley Thorp, who currently sits at No. 15 spot and is just $9 ahead No. 16 heeler Trey Yates.

Yates is trying to get to his second NFR this year, but even after splitting eighth in Baker, he moved down from No. 15 to No. 16 while partner Matt Sherwood actually moved up to No. 11.
