With a run of 7.8 seconds, reigning World Champion Haven Meged split second at the Fallon County Fair & Rodeo in Baker, Montana, this past weekend and has moved from No. 4 to No. 2 in the PRCA | RAM World Standings, pushing Tuf Cooper into third.
Taking the win in Baker, fellow World Champion Shane Hanchey set the new arena record in with a time of 7.7, earning $6,162 and moving into the No. 6 spot.
But it was Marty Yates, who split second with Meged, that had the biggest money weekend. Yates, who was having a dry spell up until his recent win in Lawton, also placed second in Circle and took the win in Douglas for a total of $7,800 in earnings over the weekend, and he’s now jumped from No. 13 to No. 7.
