Bareback rider Clayton Biglow recently announced he will be sitting out the rest of the 2024 season in order to give his body time to heal from recent injuries.

Biglow is an eight-time NFR qualifer and the 2019 World Champion in the bareback riding. He currently sits No. 20 in the PRCA World Standings with a little over $54,000 in this seasons earnings.

Despite sitting in the Top 20 mid-season, Biglow decided the break was what he needed. This will be the first time since 2016 the NFR does not include him.

“After a decade of riding some of the baddest buckers in the business, the body has built up enough little problems to make it big problems,” he wrote on Instagram. “Although I’m sitting good in the standings, I had to face some reality to stay home and actually give my body the time it needs to heal. But the biggest blessing is getting to be home with (my wife) and our new son Cal. This time at home will be well spent and I’m already itching to get out there for 2025.”
