Aspen Miller was roping sharp from the get go in San Antonio. The Texas cowgirl is your WPRA Athlete of the Week after getting the biggest win of her career at Frost Bank Center.
It was Bracket 3 where Miller’s success got its start. Her Round 1 win came when she shut the clock off at 2.1 seconds. This would be her slowest time of the rodeo as she bested it with a 1.7 to claim the Round 2 win. A 1.9-second would be fast enough for third of Round 3 but Miller still left the bracket as the No. 1 money earner and a place in the Semi-Finals.
Miller brought her total earnings up to $12,080 when she claimed another win in the Semi-Finals thanks to a 1.8-second run. When the Final Round rolled around, Miller would clock a 2.1 once again to be second by just two tenths of a second. This added another $10,500 to her earnings and the title was hers.
Miller is your WPRA Athlete of the Week after nailing down one of the biggest wins of her career. She entered San Antonio just outside the Top 20 in the WPRA World Standings and this win will send her straight to the top.
