Kassie Mowry is inching her way towards the top of the World Standings. Her runs on the third week of August left no doubt that Mowry is hustling with the goal of returning to the Thomas and Mack. Her wins make her your WPRA Athlete of the Week.
Mowry laid down a smooth 17.01-second run to win Round 1 at the Caldwell Night Rodeo and she followed it up with a 16.89 to finish second in the Final Round and third in the Average. She left with over $7,200 added to her season earnings from Idaho.
Mowry clocked her fastest time of the week when she was a 16.42 at Canby Rodeo to claim her second win. This one was worth almost $4,000 and sent her into Washington with even more momentum.
At the Moses Lake Round-Up Rodeo, Mowry’s second-place finish would be courtesy of a 17.01-second run that added another $4,100 to her earnings.
Her week wrapped up with a big win at the Gooding Pro Rodeo when her time of 16.76 seconds was just three hundredths of a second faster than the competition. This one run alone added $6,800 to Mowry’s regular season earnings.
After a successful season in 2023 aboard Jarvis, Mowry knew she owed the big bay a chance at the Thomas and Mack again and she has delivered. Mowry sits No. 5 in the World before these earnings have been accounted for to be your WPRA Athlete of the Week.
