After finishing just short of the win in 2024 by placing second, Taylor Munsell got redemption this year as she earned the RodeoHouston Breakaway Roping title. She is your WPRA Athlete of the Week as she takes over the lead in WPRA’s World Standings.
Munsell’s RodeoHouston success started early when she was the No. 2 cowgirl advancing to the Semfinals from Super Series I.
She squeaked by in the Semifinals with a 3.3-second run to fill that last hole that advanced to Championship Sunday. Munsell kick started that day with a 3.9 to move on to the Championship Shoot Out. There, she would make a $65,000 run to the tune of 2.7 seconds.
