Tricia Aldridge and her palomino stallion, Adios Pantalones, have hit the ground running in California in the best way. Aldridge is your WPRA Athlete of the Week after making her way to the pay window three times in one weekend.
It all started at the Lakeside Rodeo when Aldridge stopped the clock at 16.94 seconds. This win was hers by just three hundredths of a second over Lindsey Muggli, the only other cowgirl to make a sub-17-second run.
From there, Aldridge locked in at Clovis Rodeo to get faster every Go-Round. A 16.79 in the Finals would be her fastest of the rodeo and it put her second in the Go-Round behind Lisa Lockhart. While the win at Clovis was not Aldridge’s, she cashed in over $5,000.
The iconic pair capped off the California weekend with a win just down the road in Springville. Their time of 17.20 would be just under a half a second faster than the No. 2 cowgirl, Tristan Parrish.
Aldridge is making a push for a trip to the National Finals Rodeo and a big weekend in California as her just outside the Top 5 in the WPRA World Standings. After surpassing $40,000 in season earnings, Aldridge is your WPRA Athlete of the Week.
