Wyatt Casper’s Best Regular Season Since 2020 Propels Him to Fifth Straight NFR as No. 4 Man in the World Standings

Wyatt Casper is heading to his fifth straight NFR after another great year. Casper will enter the NFR No. 4 in the PRCA Saddle Bronc World Standings, trailing No. 1 Damian Brennan by about $60,000.

Casper exceeded $1 million in career PRCA earnings this year and totaled $219,784 in the regular season, $14,000 more than he won for a No. 10 finish in the 2023 season. Casper has finished in the Top 10 three times and the Top 5 once in his career, when he was the Reserve World Champion in 2020.

New Year’s Eve Buck & Ball, $9,142

Casper got his 2024 year started off right at the New Year’s Eve Buck & Ball. He scored 85 points in the Long Round and 88.5 points in the Finals to win and earn over $9,000 at the rodeo.

Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, $12,000

Casper started the Texas Swing off strong by making four straight rides marked between 82 and 88.5 points inside Dickies Arena. The best of the bunch came in the Finals aboard Calgary Stampede’s Tokyo Bubbles and it paid him $8,000 for a third place finish.

Rodeo Austin, $9,302

Casper placed second at Rodeo Austin after putting together three solid rides. He was 81 points in the First Round and 84 points in Round 2. In the Finals, he scored 89 points on Foul Motion, earning him $7,755.

During the Texas Swing, Casper also made the Finals in San Antonio and San Angelo.

California Rodeo Salinas, $11,432

Casper was your California Rodeo Salinas Champion after going 172 on two. In the Long Round, he placed second with an 85-point ride. In the Short Go, he was marked 87 points to get the win in the round and the Average. It was the second time in his career he won in California and both were PRCA Playoff Series Rodeos, he was the champion of the Red Bluff Round-Up in 2022.

The same weekend as his Salinas win, he also rode 90 points in the Finals of the Snake River Stampede, grabbing third place in the Average.

Xtreme Broncs Finals, $33,045

Casper earned his biggest payday of the season at the Xtreme Bronc Finals in Rapid City, South Dakota. He was 87 points in the Long Round to place second and earn over $8,000. In the Finals, he was 87 points to again place second, but more importantly, win the Average, which paid $17,766. Allen Boore and Ryder Wright were a half point behind while Zeke Thurston, Damian Brennan and Kade Bruno also placed in the Average. It is the second straight year Casper has won the Xtreme Broncs Finale.

Ellensburg Rodeo, $9,397

Casper swept the Ellensburg rodeo and was 177 on two. In the Opening Round, he was 88 points on Ringworm to win the round. In the Finals, he was 89 points on NFR bucking horse Xena Warrior which got him a first place pay check. Every roughstock winner in Ellensburg this season won both rounds.
