Wyatt Imus discusses how his father Don helped him embrace the Western way of life

Wyatt Imus has been greatly influenced by his unique family history.

His father, the late radio host Don Imus, helped shape his love for rodeo and the Western way of life. Despite growing up in New York, Wyatt spent plenty of time on the family ranch in New Mexico. The ranch is now owned by Rural Media Group founder Patrick Gottsch

“My dad, he wanted to spread the Western way of life....He loved rodeo and I grew up watching the NFR with him when I was little,” Wyatt said. “He tried to do more for the Western industry, just because of the platform he had, than anyone has been able to do.”

Wyatt says it was Don’s idea for him to pick up a rope at a young age.
