Zac Dallas has locked down the Resistol Rookie of the Year title after an impressive debut year in the PRCA. Along with that title, the rookie saddle bronc rider also secured his first ever National Finals Rodeo qualification.

Silver Spurs Rodeo, $4,343

Early in the season, Dallas picked up a win when he made a trip to the Sunshine State. A matchup with Big Rafter Rodeo’s Fringe Benefits was worth 85 points to get Dallas the win by the narrow margin of half a point. It was his first of nine wins during his rookie season.

Casey Tibbs Match of Champions Xtreme Broncs, $10,642

On the first day of June, the rookie swept one of the most iconic standalone bronc matches of the year in South Dakota. His Long Round score of 88 points came aboard Harper and Morgan Rodeo Company’s Carolina Blue before he nodded on Korkow Rodeo’s Joker Poker in the Finals to be 89 points to beat out Ben Andersen, Cole Elshere and Dawson Hay, all of whom were marked 86.5 points.

A few days later, Dallas crossed the Canadian border to make a rank ride at the Weyburn Bronc Match In Saskatchewan. He went 86 in Round 1 and then 88.5 in the Finals on Calgary Stampede’s Flying Carma to cash in another $9,573.

Ponoka Stampede, $9,750

Keeping up his success in Canada, Dallas picked up another win, this one in Alberta in July. Dallas bested a field that could’ve been mistaken for an NFR round, going 90.25 points to beat out Kade Bruno, Kolby Wanchuk and Zeke Thurston.

In the Cowboy State, Dallas’ name was next to the World Champion Bucking Horse of Sankey Pro Rodeo and Phenom Genetics’, The Black Tie. The two matched up to be a whopping 91.5 points for his highest marked ride of the regular season.

It was the first 90+ Point Ride of his career.

That same weekend, Dallas added two additional checks of more than $4,500 when he won the Elgin Stampede and the Silver State Stampede.

When it was all said and done, he moved up from No. 15 to No. 10 in the World.

Field of Dreams Stampede, $2,974

Dallas got his third win in Canada of the 2024 season in August. His 87-point ride on Outlawbuckers Rodeo’s Rockstar would barely cinch him the win by just half a point over Jake Clark.

RAM Jim Baier Chute Out Rodeo, $4,919

Dallas kicked off the final month of the regular season in winning fashion. He split the Long Go win with Sage Newman after each rode for 85 points.
