Zeke Thurston Has Chance at Back-to-Back Canadian Titles Following Two Round Wins at CFR

It was a night full of repeats for Zeke Thurston in Red Deer on Friday.

He not only repeated as a Go-Round winner from Round 2, he repeated as the CFR Round 3 Champion. Another thing he’s looking to repeat? Gold in both the CPRA and the PRCA.

On Friday, he was 88.75 on Calgary’s Yesterday’s Delivery.

“She’s so fast and seems like she’s got springs in her hooves,” he said. “She’s tricky to keep up with, so you gotta get a good start....I was pretty excited when I got off, that’s the best I’ve rode her, I never really got along with her pretty good.”

The TV pen was a salty bunch of horses in Round 3 as 5-of-12 bronc riders hit the dirt.

The third bracket is concluding and adding more of rodeo’s best to the Semi-Finals.
