Zeke Thurston’s Three-Peat Attempt in Canada Starts Strong With Round 1 Win

Zeke Thurston is looking to go make it three straight Canadian Titles and three straight CFR Average Titles in 2024 and started his bid off on the right foot with 89.25 points on Freedom Express in Round 1 of the 50th CFR in Edmonton.

“That’s a true eliminator, there’s a lot going on, he’s a big horse, a little bit of head movements, lots of change-ups with the direction,” Thurston said of The Calgary Stampede bucker.

Thurston entered the CFR No. 1 in the CPRA Standings and extended his lead over Lucas Macza with an $11,000 payday to kick things off.

Wyatt Casper took second in Round 1 with 87.50 points while Ben Andersen was marked 86 points for thrd.
