There was plenty of rodeo action over the weekend, with the two biggest rodeos providing massive payouts to their winners. Here are Five Fast Facts from the last weekend in rodeo that featured the Calgary Stampede and the NFR Open.

1: Will Lummus was the only defending champion to make the Four-Man Showdown at The Calgary Stampede. He would finish third in the Showdown with a time of 3.9 seconds. The finish earned him $10,000, $5,000 of which will go toward his PRCA standings.

2: It’s the second consecutive year the bareback riding was won by a rookie at The Calgary Stamped. This year it’s Kade Sonnier who took the title with a 92-point ride to get the biggest win of his career.

3: Dawson and Logan Hay are the first brothers to both win The Calgary Stampede since Rod Hay and Denny Hay

4: There were four Canadian winners at The Calgary Stampede, the most in a single year since 2005. Those winners included Dawson Hay, Jared Parsonage, Beau Cooper, and Scott Guenthner.

5: Saddle Bronc Rider Kade Bruno is 2-for-2 at the NFR Open
