The Texas Swing has come and gone, and the standings saw some major changes. Here are five fast facts from the Texas Swing.
1. Every winner from RodeoHouston is currently No.1 in the PRCA World Standings. 2023 winners Sage Newman and Jordon Briggs also won RodeoHouston in 2022 and went into the NFR at the No. 1 overall spot.
2. Leighton Berry and Stetson Wright both won three separate rodeos over the Texas Swing. Leighton Berry won Houston, San Antonio, and San Angelo while Stetson won Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio in Bron Riding alone.
3. Riley Webb currently holds the largest lead of any athlete over second place. Webb is up $47,000 on Hunter Herrin.
4. 38 of the 40 athletes inside the top 5 after the Texas Swing in 2022 made the NFR that year.
5. In 2022 the lowest-ranked a future World Champion was after the Texas Swing was Caleb Smidt at No. 19. Zeke Thurston was the second lowest ranked at No. 14 after the important stretch a year ago.
