R.C. Landingham broke a tie at the top between Spur Lacasse and Chad Rutherford in the bareback riding in Pendleton and his 87.5 points on Silver Screen could prove crucial because he entered the rodeo as the No. 15 cowboy in the world.
“You come to Pendleton and you never know what a horse is going to do when they get to the grass,” he said. “That horse, I’ve seen six videos of him and everyone of him he made a different trip, so I really didn’t know what to expect today.”
This year marks the first full season Landingham has been healthy since he made the Wrangler NFR in 2017.
“I was out for pretty much three years,” he said. “I didn’t really know if I’d ever be able to rodeo again, at this level especially.”
